<li>Local authorities, via an online survey</li>
<li>NHS organisations, extracted from the Electronic Staff Record (ESR)</li>
<li>Academic institutions, extracted from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) staffing data set.</li>
</ul>
The data will be used by Health Education England for recruitment and workforce planning and commissioning of specialty training.
