The NHS needs to adopt solutions to measure and monitor the length of the Referral To Treatment Period for patients that may have periods of their patient pathways provided by other organisations. This means that referring organisations need to share with receiving organisations the Referral To Treatment Period Status data at the time of transfer of care, so that reporting can take place.
